Lot 174 Canada #30vi 1868 15c grey Large Queen with “Balloon Flaw”, used with ideal and lovely strike of Victoria BC, dated NOV.4.1897. The plate flaw is from position 97. A big stamp with large margins and a pressed-out vertical crease, with very fine plus appearance. Catalogue value is for fine only, unpriced for very fine. Unitrade CV$500.

Lot 305, Canada 1916 2c + 1c yellow brown Admiral War Tax coil pair, XF NH, sold for C$3,159Lot 305 Canada #MR7iii 1916 2c + 1c Yellow Brown Admiral War Tax Coil, Die I, a mint never hinged pair, with wonderful centering between large and even margins, pristine gum and fresh, extremely fine. An attractive and lovely pair for the perfectionist. The Die I coil is significantly rarer than the Die II coil, and is a true condition rarity. It could take years before another example of this quality appears at auction.

Accompanied by a 2013 Greene Foundation certificate and a 2022 PSE certificate grading it as “Superb 98J”. The highest graded stamp by the PSE with two other stamps graded 98. SMQ U$1,150 for 95 with no price for higher grade.
