Lot 14, Canada #30b 1875 15c Blue Grey Large Queen, mint with full original gum, never hinged, with fresh colour and well centered, extremely fine. Quite a handsome stamp. Unitrade CV$600.

Welcome to Sparks Auctions’ sales 40 and 41. These two personalized name sales include:

  • The Bytown Collection of exceptional quality mint Canada and Newfoundland. This collection was carefully assembled with attention given to obtaining the best possible examples of each stamp. The majority of the collection is mint never hinged, with mostly very fine to extremely fine centering and quality. It is quite comprehensive from the Queen Victoria through King George VI eras, with many shades and printings, plus interesting material before and after, including select back of the book issues and BNA, featuring Newfoundland.
  • The Red Baron Collection of exceptional quality mint never hinged Canadian Semi-Official Airmail stamps plus postal history. All the stamps in this extensive and impressive collection are mint never hinged and of very high quality, except for a rare complete pane of five of CL7 the Moose Jaw Flying Club issue (very lightly hinged, not known to exist as never hinged). The postal history is equally impressive, with many varieties and an excellent range of material.

The quality material in both of these sales is sure to impress. As an important note, both of these sales are being offered completely unreserved, which means that all the lots will start at $10 and sell for whatever the market determines. Our relatively low Canadian dollar and competitive 17% buyer fee add to the excitement of these sales, and we hope everyone will find those elusive items they’ve been seeking.

Enjoy these sales!
