The cover is franked with a pair of the 1c orange SQ plus a very fine 3c copper red, all cancelled by three very fine strikes of the #9 in cogwheel fancy cancel (Lacelle #119). Reduced at left, still a very fine early Small Queen cover. Estimate C$200.

Lot 1177 SMITHS FALLS ONT. squared circle, a lovely strike MR 1/95 ties an 8c Small Queen (with fault) to a registered Frost & Wood illustrated advertising cover to New York City. Front of cover also shows a very fine Smiths Falls c.d.s. of the same day, a railway datestamp on back alongside a Montreal precursor. Very fine and desirable cover. Estimate $150.
