
Lot 713 Great Britain #3-4 1841 1d red brown and 2d blue Queen Victoria, two choice stamps, 1d with three margins and neat black numeral 1 in Maltese cross cancel, and 2d is an attractive four margin stamp, very fine. Scott CV$109, sold for $80 plus buyer’s premium.
Lot 467 — Canada 1999 booklet of essays, paper test, sold for $1093

Lot 467 Canada c. 1999 Booklet of 24 Essays, prepared by Ashton-Potter and sent to the pressure-sensitive paper suppliers for testing. Undoubtedly Canada Post had some understanding with Ashton-Potter regarding future contracts. Very fine for something of this nature, stamps are die-kissed. It is believed that the entire trial printing was destroyed except this one sample. Estimate $1000, sold for $950 plus buyer’s premium.
