Lot 865 1940s, incoming mail to Sharjah, seven covers, all commercial usages, including mail from Pakistan redirected from Sharjah to Karachi; Iraq (x3), two of which are wrappers with Dubai transit backstamps; and Great Britain (x3), two redirected from Karachi to Sharjah, and one censored cover from Bristol to “Sharjah Fort, Trucial Oman Coast, Persian Gulf, Arabia” and sent via Dubai, with transit backstamp, condition mixed, all covers with some flaws, but a scarce group. Estimate C$200, sold for C$1,600.00 plus 18% buyer’s premium.
