We finished our Lots & Collections session yesterday in good time, completing a very impressive three-day sale for us.

As always, we are working hard to organize material and complete invoices. You should hear from us by next Tuesday if you were successful. Complete Prices Realized can be seen at this link or on Stamp Auction Network. There are many interesting and better realizations to showcase, and we will begin highlighting those next week.

Our office will be closed for the Thanksgiving weekend until Wednesday, October 12th. Local buyers may pick up their lots beginning Wednesday the 12th, by appointment only. Please leave a message or send an email to info@sparks-auctions.com to arrange a time.

We thank all of our bidders for their interest!

Lot 333, Canada 1954 QEII VF NH block of eight with left margin imperf

Lot 333Lot 333 Canada #341v 1954 5c bright blue Queen Elizabeth II, imperforate in Left Margin, mint never hinged block of eight, with the two left most stamps having their left margins imperforate. There is a crease in the left sheet margin, from having been folded, likely during the printing or perforating process. Unitrade lists only six singles, a plate block and a block of six, making this new find the largest known multiple. Furthermore, the six singles have no gum and the plate block is hinged, making this one of only two multiples with full intact, never hinged gum. Very fine, rare and for the collector who seeks only the best. Estimate C$2,500.
