A few are reduced at one side, noted two fronts and others with faults, still an interesting and overall fine or better group. All covers scanned online. We counted thirteen registered covers, with a wide range of different rates and frankings, as well as postmark interest. We counted six registered covers, four short paid covers (two have American dues stamps), one picture postcard, some postmark interest and a number of other interesting items. We note several single frankings such as for example a 6c on registered cover to Moreton’s Harbour (with rare boxed St John’s datestamp on back, first we’ve seen), a 10c on registered cover to Wisconsin, another on registered cover to New York, 15c on registered cover to Winnipeg, 24c on registered cover to England, 30c on registered cover to New York, 35c on registered cover to Austria and 60c on registered cover to New York. A mostly fine or better group, with one being repaired (back re-glued on) and some other various faults, one was mailed in 1955 and a few have some earlier issues used to uprate. All scanned online. Lot 723 Newfoundland #3 1858 3d Triangular on Cover, mailed from Bona Vista (SEP.6.1858 c.d.s. on back) to Carbonear (receiver on front) and franked with a large margined 3d imperforate (showing two neighboring stamps) just tied by pen cancel to small cover with red wax seal on backflap.
