Die sunk measures 51 x 69 mm and is mounted on a larger card. There are four plate numbers beneath the image: a crossed-out “P” number, two crossed-out “V” numbers and a final adopted “V” number. A striking and rare item, and ideal for Cents issue collectors. Estimate $2,000, sold for C$1,600 plus buyer’s premium.
