Lot 6 Canada #2TCi 6d Consort Trial Colour Plate Proof in Red Purple, a full sheet of 100 on India paper, showing the dramatic “burr on forehead” in position 43 (only listed in Unitrade as being on #13, but is now known on other Consort printings). A wonderful and rare sheet, proving the position of the variety, with the normal minor paper wrinkling often found on this fragile paper, still very fine and desirable. Rsv. $11,000. Lot 64 Canada #17b 1859 10c Brown Consort, Perforated 12 x 11¾, mint with full original gum, nicely centered for issue and quite fresh. Appears to be never hinged, but with light gum disturbances, therefore catalogued as fine hinged. Accompanied by a 2020 Greene Foundation certificate mentioning only “mint OG.” A nice stamp. Unitrade CV$800, sold for C$475.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
