Canada #2 1851 6d slate violet Consort on laid paper, with strong laid lines, used with full to large margins all around and lovely bright colour. This lovely stamp is cancelled by a centrally struck target in bright orange-red ink and overall extremely fine. Coloured cancels on pence issues are scarce to rare depending on the colour. Red cancels are usually oxidized or show traces of black. This specific stamp is cancelled in bright orange-red ink which is almost never seen and which creates a visually stunning stamp.
