Lot 454 Canada #F1i 1880s 2c orange red Registration Stamp, a mint plate block of 20, with full original gum, hinge re-inforced in many places, leaving four stamps never hinged. The margin at right shows a complete printer’s imprint and there are two partial ones at top and bottom, plus a counter “2” in top margin. This lovely block possesses a particularly bright colour and most stamps are very fine centered. From the Azilda Collection. Estimate $750, sold for C$1,000.00 plus 15% buyer’s premium.

Lot 653 Canada #F1i, F1iv 1880s 2c orange red Registration, a mint left marginal block of four, with lightly hinged part gum. The selvedge shows a good part of the printer’s imprint, and the lower right stamp clearly shows the “burr to right of T in CENTS” variety (F1iv) from position 22.
