An extremely rare stamp, the first we have handled. The control number on this stamp is in the recorded range of known In Prize overprints, and Zaluski explains that these were first handstamped in purple, but because the handstamp was not as visible on blue stamps, a second red handstamp was used. Subsequent handstamps were in red only. Zaluski also records only sixteen known examples. van Dam CV$3,000, sold for C$2,200.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
