We are working hard to organize the great bulk of lots from last night’s very successful conclusion to our twelfth public auction. Prices Realized are on Stamp Auction Network, or at this link.

Much of the material will be ready for invoicing and shipping early next week. Local Ottawa bidders can pick up their winnings on Weds. April 10th at 62 Sparks Street between 10:00am-5:00pm.

Prices in postal history, worldwide and the Canada mint sheets were quite strong. We will start featuring some of the better realizations on Monday.

We mailed 325 catalogues yesterday afternoon from the Sparks Street Canada Post Office. Many domestic destinations will receive theirs on Monday, and the US and international should have them by the end of the week.

Consignors’ catalogues will be mailed on Monday.

We are pleased to announce our twelfth public auction, taking place at our premises in Ottawa, Canada over two days, Wednesday, April 3rd and Thursday, April 4th, 2013.

The auction is, as always, strong in Canada and British North America from the pence and cents eras, and with a special concentration of semi-official airmails. Postal History is rich with material that is either new to the philatelic market or offered for the first time in decades. British Commonwealth, Worldwide and bulk lots round out the sale.

The catalogue is currently at the printer and will be mailed next week. Live listings will appear on Stamp Auction Network on Tuesday, March 12th.

Next week we will have PDFs of the catalogue here on sparks-auctions.com. Later in the week we upload our Image Gallery, which will feature many hundreds of scans not included in the print catalogue and elsewhere online. We will also begin featuring items of special interest in further detail.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish our customers and friends around the world a very Merry Christmas. Happy Hanukkah as well to our Jewish customers and colleagues who finished celebrating the Festival of Lights a bit more than a  week ago. And most of all, the season reminds us to offer our best wishes for a safe and healthy 2013 to you and your loved ones.

Lotting is steadily underway for Sale #12, which will be held in February 2013, with the exact date to be determined as catalogue production begins over the next two weeks. We will show some previews of the most interesting material on the site early in the New Year. We are still able to accept single stamps and other easily-lotted material, so contact us if you have anything you would like to include.

That was a tremendous sale, our best yet!

Kate is leaving the phone on message today so she can organize material and prepare invoices. There are items to put together for nearly 300 successful bidders, most of whom should receive a PDF of their invoice by the end of the weekend. Shipping for paid invoices will begin next Monday and Tuesday.
