Lot 903 Canada #PF27b June 22, 1922 Lethbridge to Ottawa Flight Cover, Type III, cover only flown Lethbridge to Minot, ND. As the plane was landing, a woman drove a car in front of the plane. In avoiding the car, the plane was badly damaged and could not continue, so the letters were forwarded by train. Cancelled Lethbridge Jun 21, 1922 (machine slogan). These special envelopes were sold for $1 each and this one is addressed to the co-pilot Lt. Harry Fitzsimmons. Small piece missing in top left corner, else very fine, with advertising on back.
