This pair possesses four large to huge margins, showing parts of next stamps at top right and bottom left, extremely fine. A scarce pair, especially in this pristine condition. Accompanied by a 1996 Philatelic Foundation certificate and a 1997 David Brandon certificate. Rsv. Unitrade CV$3,200, sold for $2000 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 125 Canada #53 1897 3c deep bright rose Jubilee, mint never hinged, very well centered among large margins, with deep rich colour and extremely fine. Certainly one of the nicest examples we’ve seen, for the discerning collector. Accompanied by a 2017 P.S.E. certificate grading it at “XF-Sup 95, Mint OG nh”. Rsv. Unitrade CV$120, sold for $275 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 144 Canada #63 1897 $3 yellow bistre Jubilee, mint never hinged, with sheet selvedge at left. Perfectly centered among four even margins, fresh and extremely fine. Accompanied by a 2014 Greene Foundation certificate. Unitrade footnote states “No. 61 to 65 ($1 to $5) in XF NH condition command very large premiums—copies of 63 to 65 ($3 to $5) were selling for up to $14,000 at auction over the past couple of years.” We believe this remarkable stamp should easily fit that description and valuation. Rsv. Unitrade CV$6,000, sold for C$8500 plus 17% buyer’s premium.

Lot 825 Canada #104 1915 Illustrated Advertising Cover for Dominion Shells, mailed Dunnsville, Ont (OCT.9.1915 duplexes) to Flitchburg, Mass, and franked with three 1c green Admirals. The cover depicts very colourful and detailed elaborate scenes on front, and red and white text on back. A lovely and very fine cover. Rsv. Estimate C$200.
