Lot 894 Iran 1938 Registered Cover, Teheran to Baghdad, mailed from Teheran (Départ) on MAR.31.1938 to Baghdad, with APR.4 receiver on back. The cover is franked with Scott #s 843 (x4 singles) plus an imperforate sheetlet of four of #870D, which has a commemorative cancel reading “SOIXANTIEME ANNIVERSAIRE DE LA NAISSANCE DE S.M.I. = TEHERAN”. Vertical crease not appearing to affect the sheetlet (appears to be underneath), else very fine. Scott value given is for the sheetlet off-cover (see footnote). Scott CV U$1,500.
