Lot 567 USA #505 1917, 5c rose error of colour, double error in block of twelve, perforated 11, hinged twice, including on one 5c stamp, fresh and well-centred, a pleasing example of this scarce variety, created when an incorrect transfer roll of the 5c denomination was inadvertently used to re-enter three faulty 2c positions on the plate, in the case of this block, in positions 74 and 84, fine-very fine; ex Trimble.
