Lot 584 Canada 1864, 1c rose Decimal issue single franking on turned cover, adhesive to cover to Waterdown by black target cancel, endorsed “Printed Circular” in manuscript, turned and re-used to Mosa, handstamped PAID and 5 in black and struck with Waterdown double split-ring despatch (10 Mar), one side flap removed, else a fine and most unusual usage. Lot 495 Canada #14 1865 Printed Circular Mailed at the 5c Letter Rate, a printed folded circular (no handwriting inside, but containing two pages of printed matter) mailed from Montréal on OCT.27.1865 to Repentigny, franked with a strip of five of the 1c rose Queen Victoria, paying the 5c letter rate. Very fine and interesting. Estimate $150, sold for C$375.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
