We note several single frankings such as for example a 6c on registered cover to Moreton’s Harbour (with rare boxed St John’s datestamp on back, first we’ve seen), a 10c on registered cover to Wisconsin, another on registered cover to New York, 15c on registered cover to Winnipeg, 24c on registered cover to England, 30c on registered cover to New York, 35c on registered cover to Austria and 60c on registered cover to New York. A mostly fine or better group, with one being repaired (back re-glued on) and some other various faults, one was mailed in 1955 and a few have some earlier issues used to uprate. All scanned online. The cover is franked with a fairly scarce combination of the 2c and 6c Jubilee issues, both tied or cancelled by four “C” in circle (House of Commons?) cancels. Very fine and ex Steinhart and priced by him at $500. Estimate $200, sold for C$700.00 plus 17% buyer’s premium.
